(Ultra Thin 0.1mm WALL)
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a high performance, synthetic fluoropolymer with product characteristics including a very high working temperature, a low friction surface, very high electrical resistance and non-stick characteristics. With virtually total chemical resistance at temperatures up to 260°C PTFE tubing is suitable for the transport of all fluid chemicals and solvents.
PTFE tube has mechanical, electrical and medical applications. The combination of low friction and temperature resistance allows PTFE tubing to be used in applications such as sleeve bearings, push-pull cables and non-stick roller covers. It can also be used to protect less resistant materials such as glass and stainless steel on stirrers, thermometers and probes, and as insulation for electrical components in hot environments.
PTFE tubing is also available in standard metric and Imperial sizes.
